Content Guidelines
The Horse Network allows users to contribute different kinds of content, including reviews, photos, events, blog info, and more. Please also read the guidelines below for specific types of content that you might contribute to the site.
- Inappropriate content: Colorful language and imagery is fine, but there’s no need for threats, harassment, lewdness, hate speech, and other displays of bigotry.
- Conflicts of interest: Your contributions should be objective. For example, you shouldn’t write reviews of your own organization or your friends’ or relatives’ organizations.
- Relevance: Please make sure your contributions are relevant and appropriate to the listing and/or reviews. For example, reviews aren’t the place for rants about an organization’s volunteer practices, political ideologies, or other matters that don’t address the core of the consumer experience. Please only state your experiences with a specific listing – good or bad.
- Privacy: Don’t publicize other people’s private information. Please don’t post people’s addresses, phone numbers, etc. without their permission.
NOTE: We do monitor all reviews so to keep reviews honest and not spammy. We know there are unscrupulous people out there. However, if you do receive some negative reviews, you will have a chance to rebuttal the review.
If The Horse Network does notice a pattern of an organization being unscrupulous, hoarding horses, or mistreating volunteers, or misusing donations, we have the right to terminate that listing.
