Horse adoption and rescue organizations offer horses a second chance by taking in unwanted and, abused horses and some of them are rescued from slaughter auction houses. These horses are then rehabilitated and are available for adoption to and qualified, caring homes. Most of these organizations are run by volunteers with the dedication and compassion for our equine friends.
Most horse rescue organizations are non-profit and are tax-exempt, and are solely supported by contributions from individuals.

quine Outreach, Inc. (EOI), founded in 2004, is a horse rescue, shelter, and rehabilitation organization. EOI is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, run entirely by volunteers and managed by our Board of Directors. We work closely with the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office, several other sheriffs in central and eastern Oregon, the Forest Service, BLM, local Humane Societies, other equine organizations and local veterinarians.
