Information
WHOA is located SW of Eugene OR, serving Lane County and beyond throughout the pacific northwest. Primary focus on Rescue, Rehabilitate, and Sanctuary – with home placements as possible when long term matches are made. Specializing in starvation, neglect, and abandonment cases. We provide assistance to law enforcement, & help community members where possible. We advocate for senior equines to stay in the homes they’ve known, but understand circumstances and medical/financial issues arise.
We operate on 20 acres situated in a small quite valley. We are unable to accept wild/unhandled equines or stallions. We will refer specific breeds to dedicated rescues when possible.
