Heaven Can Wait is committed to providing our rescued equine residents a safe haven where they do not starve, are not neglected, do not go without medical care, someplace where they are safe from abuse and from ever having to face great suffering and untimely death. We act on the belief that these noble animals, which we have relied on for so long for our own survival, deserve to live in comfort, safety and good health until their days are done.

The Foundation is a forever home and sanctuary for abandoned, neglected, and abused horses, or those facing premature euthanasia or shipping to auction for slaughter. The members of its resident herd of from 25 to 30 horses at any one time are provided the finest possible care and keep to insure that their last years are their very best. Although the organization maintains a small number of its rescue herd in nearby sponsored foster homes, Horse Harbor does not adopt out horses to the general public.

Located overlooking the Pacific in Santa Barbara, Hearts Therapeutic offers life-changing experiences to people of all ages with a wide range of disabilities. Since opening in 1985, approximately 60,000 lesson hours to over 2,000 members of our community have benefited from therapeutic riding. Today we have 10 horses and serve 80 riders per week.

Triple Me Mac Equine Sanctuary (501(c)3) was founded in 2009 with a single mission – to secure the safety of all equines from the cruelty of abuse, neglect or slaughter. We’ve rescued, or participated in the rescue of, more than 100 equines all over the U.S. and Canada, and we’ve played an active role in ending the slaughter business in the United States. We are part of a strong network of horse rescue organizations and maintain a commitment to be at the forefront of rescue operations as well as efforts to end the abuse of these magnificent animals.

To offer an alternative to the abandonment, neglect, desert dumping, auction or slaughter to those animals whose owners are faced with financial hardship or can no longer care for their livestock, poultry, fowl, equine, goats, sheep.

To protect and preserve America’s wild horses as a “living national treasure” in a publicly accessible and ecologically balanced environment with other wildlife for future generations.
